MY FAVORITE CRYSTALS AND SOME OF THEIR COMMON USES:

Amethyst

– Increases spiritual awareness, opens and balances sixth and seventh chakras, detoxifies the body, increases meditation, decreases headaches, transforms lower vibrating energies into higher vibrating energies, increases psychic ability and in also known as the sobriety stone, because it is said to keep people from getting drunk when it is kept around

Aventurine

– A member of the quartz family, found in three colors; Green: Good luck during a sea voyage, healing and balancing for the heart, or fourth chakra and also, good for gambling,boosts creativity, increases vitality, growth and confidence; Red: Helps with discernment and strength; the color comes from inclusions of hematite; and Blue, helps with self-discipline and inner strength, it has inclusions of copper.

Azurite

– Great for opening third eye, opens and balances fifth chakra, heals throat and aids in communication, increases psychic ability, and ability to communicate with your spirit guide.

Iolite

– Opens and balances, fifth, sixth and seventh chakras, stimulates visions, detoxifier, helps to open third eye, great for meditation and helps with astral travel.

Rutilated quartz

– Illuminator, works great to open and balance all chakras, energizes, intensifies altered states, increases telepathy, induces alpha state, and increases immunity.

Lapis lazuli

– Increases psychic ability, opens and balances fifth and sixth chakras, increases love, purification and intuition.

Selenite

– Made from clear gypsum, promotes serenity, increases mental focus, increases growth, luck and immunity, and increases kundalini. Helps with meditation. Caution: this crystal can dissolve in water!

Celestite

– Linked with angelic energies, increases connection to spirit, opens and balances fifth, sixth and seventh chakras, promotes stillness to enable receiving impressions, helps with enlightment.

Labradorite

– Opens and balances, third and fifth chakras, increases psychic powers, strengthens and protects aura, and helps with communication with your higher self.

Topaz

– Clear: Increases psychic abilities and spirituality, blue: heals throat, increases concentration, provides insight.

Angelite

– Increases feeling of oneness with the universe, opens and balances fifth chakra, very cooling.

Apophyllite

– Helps one connect with spirit, increases clairvoyance, opens and balances sixth chakra.

– Clears and stimulates all chakras, especially healing for fourth chakra, increases relaxation and meditation.

Fire agate

– Helps to be assertive, opens and balances second chakra, increases enthusiasm, increases Kundalini.

Goldstone

– Increases energy, opens and balances third chakra. This is one of the few man made stones that I use for healing. Has copper to help with moving energy.

Garnet

– Opens and balances, first chakra (red), heart chakra (green), increases psychic visions, increases Kundalini.

Hematite

– Enhances focus, helps grounding, an iron ore that helps stabilize energy, decrease negative emotions and thoughts, increases concentration, courage and confidence.

Herkimer Diamond

– Quartz that shifts brain into alpha state quickly, increases psychic ability, helps to remember dreams, increased ability to communicate with spirit guides, great to use with Reiki attunements.

Jet

– Helps absorb negative energies, so clean often, increases Kundalini, helps with protection.

Kunzite

– High vibration heart stone, opens and balances heart charka, increases feeling of love and friendship for self and others.

Kyanite

– Helps move blocked energy, aligns all chakras, increases altered states, removes toxins, and increases energy and psychic abilities. Does not absorb negative energy.

Larimar

– Called the Atlantis stone, increases vibration, dissolves energetic blocks where placed, energy is cool and soothing. Helps the throat chakra and helps with communcation.

Malachite

– Absorbs negative energy, opens and balances heart chakra, increases psychic visions, prosperity and abundance, needs to be cleared frequently because it absorbs so much energy.

Moss agate

– Increases abundance, prosperity, wealth and luck; opens and balances heart chakra.

Moldavite

– Helps with channeling, especially UFO people, most people can “feel” the energy, helps with communication with our higher self, high intensity, increases ascension. Great for clearing the heart chakra.

Obsidian

– Helps with transformation, purification and inner growth, removes toxins, grounding. Works great with lower chakras.

Pyrite

– Releases negative emotional energy, increases energy, clears and unblocks solar plexus and helps to ncrease intelligence.

Petalite

– High vibration, increases imagination, has been called “stone of the angels,” helps with ascension, helps open third eye, increases fertility.

Phenacite

– Opens and balances third eye and seventh chakra, increases clairvoyance and spiritual communication, helps with breaking negative habits.

Quartz

– Found in many colors; colors corelate to different chakras, all purpose, opens and balances all chakras, amplifies other energies, removes blocks, most common crystals and easy to find, easily programmed.

Ruby

– Energizing and balancing, opens and balances heart charka and first chakra, increases Kundalini, increases sexuality, love and passion.

Sugilite

– Increases conscious awareness and positive thoughts, opens and balances sixth and seventh chakra, opens the third eye.

Tanzanite

– Helps with meditation, increases vibration, opens third eye, balances third eye chakra and helps increase visions.

Tourmaline

– Depending on the color, works on particular chakra, increases vibration, strengthens all bodies, opens and balances all charkas, removes toxins.

Zoisite

– Increases self-esteem, helps with sleep and calms bad tempers.

CLEANSING CRYSTALS

Cleansing crystals is not just about removing dirt, oil or dust from them, but about removing any energy that is not yours or for your highest good. Before you received them, the crystals have been in several hands before they found their way to you. This causes them to have lots of energy of others. Clearing and cleansing is the process of changing negative emotions to positive emotions. It is best to always remove negative energies before you include them in your healing. Cleansing and clearing crystals can be done by holding them under lukewarm water and intending to clear the crystal. (Make sure the crystal is not water-soluble.) Another way to clear the crystal is to leave them outside on the night of a full moon. Also, one of my favorite ways to clear crystals and to energize them is to put them into the sunlight for a few hours. Another great way to cleanse crystals is by passing them through the smoke, light and heat of a candle. Just by using your intention to cleanse, this can be done as often as needed. Using a white candle is the best for this purpose. But, be careful, some crystals lose their color if placed in the sun too long. Crystals can also be cleansed with certain incense or herbs, such as sage, etc. Use your discretion along with help of your higher self.

PROGRAMMING CRYSTALS

Once you have thoroughly cleansed your crystal, you can choose to program them to do a specific task for you. Programming does not have to be done because every crystal has certain natural healing abilities. Programming can add more energy and intention, to be an adjunct in healing, removing blocks, or energizing. To program a crystal just hold the cleansed crystal in your dominant hand and verbally say what you want to program it to do. Visualize what you are programming as complete and hold this thought for at least 30 seconds. Repeat this process as often as you intuit, with the help of your higher self.

CHOOSING CRYSTALS

You can choose crystals, by what they are known to naturally heal, or you can choose them intuitively. Sometimes crystals will just jump out at you when you began looking through them at a store. Sometimes when you pick one up you will feel the intense energy and you may just “know” in your mind that this crystal is yours. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to the store to buy a particular crystals and came home with one or two that I just “had” to have. Not too many days later, I will realize that I definitely needed the crystal for certain healing issues I didn’t know about beforehand. One of my favorite ways to have crystals with me at all times is by making jewerly and wearing it, with the intention to heal. I use crystals to remove blocks from all my body, my home, my car, my water, and for healing and to increase energy. I use crystals in my bath and in elixirs. To help with my plants, I put certain crystals in the dirt to help heal sick plants or increase the growth in the other ones. One of the best ways I have worked to heal my heart issues, is with my heart chakra healing bracelets. Just by wearing them, they have removed lots of energy blocks and pain from my heart. I now am able to have a lot more unconditional love for myself and others. Not only that, but since the heart chakra deals with prosperity, money comes to me in much easier ways than every before.
